(Trumpet/Flugelhorn/Trombone)

Ruben has been an attorney in San Antonio since May 1983 (over 39 years). Ruben began playing music in the sixth grade at age 11 and over the years has played trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, and trombone with various types of musical ensembles ranging from symphony orchestras as well as concert, marching, jazz, musical play, rock and Tejano bands. He earned a seat in the All-Valley, All-Region, and All-Area bands after competing in instrumental competition events. Ruben's favorite musical memories were playing with the San Antonio Symphony Pops and with Lou Marini, Jr. (Blues Brothers and Blood Sweat & Tears) back in the 70s. Ruben has also opened for several well-known Tejano bands including Little Joe and Johnny y La Familia. As a tribute to veterans of the armed services, he has also played taps at numerous military funerals over the years. Ruben plays Yamaha horns.
